some acids and bases and different pH indicators to give the different colours
Ah, we just used these little indicator strips. Which took all the fun out of Chemistry =/ lol

we sometimes also use the strips but it's more precise to use some drops of an indicator to change the color of the substance ,especially in titulations (translated directly from portuguese so I don't know if you know what I'm talking about xD)
